Cultivating meaningful relationships of trust is the most effective means for me to accomplish anything- both personally and professionally. Gaining valuable global leadership and facilitation experience while tapping into the collective expertise of the international franchise partners I collaborated with has provided me the ability to have a deep operational knowledge that drives business growth.
Earning a CPA certificate early in my career and having a variety of experiences along the way, gave me a solid business foundation that I leverage in diverse ways. Working directly with people on their business development goals and guiding them towards their next stage is the space where I thrive.
Franchise Peer Performance Groups invigorate your franchise network in a proactive way. They are a proven mechanism to drive engagement, growth and profitability. I have guided franchisors to successfully launch groups in international markets and I have led groups myself.
Nothing brings out the best in people more than a healthy comparison of what’s happening amongst their peers. Key metrics can reveal interesting stories about an organization. Revealing these stories is a skill I have developed over time and adapted to many different scenarios. Combining the ability to build trusting relationships with metric stories allows me to develop cohesive groups that can be powerful tools for business growth.

My passion in life is inspiring, supporting and teaching others. I love watching people grow and it encourages me to learn from every opportunity as well. This has led to a purpose-filled career journey as a therapist and psychologist, crisis counselor, coach, teacher and professor.
I was inspired by my grandfathers who each pursued entrepreneurial opportunities, encountered and overcame multiple speed bumps, and left legacies that have outlived them both. I credit them for inspiring each of my entrepreneurial journeys and persevering through the challenges along the way. I am proud to have built a business from the ground-up, rescued and resurrected a business in need, contributed to our multi-generational family business and supported hundreds of other business owners along the way.
I fell in love with franchise as a franchisee and appreciated them even more after being a franchise business coach and group facilitator. Supporting franchisees was incredibly rewarding, especially when I witnessed franchisees feel more connected to the network, overcome obstacles in their business, and increase revenue, business efficiency and confidence.
As a lifelong learner, I am inspired by others and honored to be on a growth journey alongside other entrepreneurs, colleagues and mentors. I am a member of the Society of Industrial Organizational Psychologists (SIOP) and working toward a CFE with the International Franchise Association. As a proud University of Nebraska-Lincoln Husker graduate, I am honored to return as a College of Business Professor of Practice, Entrepreneur Fellow and Advisory Board Member. I also have a Master's Degree in Counseling and PhD in Business Psychology.
My goal is to leave this world after inspiring and empowering as many people as possible. I hope to learn just as much from people, experiences and mistakes before I go.
